<p><strong>About AfNOG</strong></p>

<p><strong>AfNOG Workshop on Network Technology</strong></p>
<p>The AfNOG Workshop on Network Technology aims to offer advanced training to people who are in the process of developing and enhancing an Internet-connected network with regional and international connectivity. The target audience includes senior and mid-level technical staff of commercial Internet service providers (ISPs), academic networks, government networks, or NGO networks.</p>
<p>This workshop builds on the experience of previous AfNOG workshops held annually from 2000 to 2014 in Fifteen different African countries, and also the Internet Society's INET workshops, held annually from 1993 to 2000 at eight locations around the world. The workshop's Instructors are an international team with many years of experience in operating large networks and teaching about network operations.</p>

<p>AfricaCERT will hold a 6 day Workshop & Tutorial on CERT from 25<sup>th</sup> – 30<sup>th</sup> May 2015 in Tunisia.</p>
<p>AfricaCERT is the African forum of computer incident response teams, and aims to propose solutions to Challenges for a better health in the Af* Internet Ecosystem.</p>
<p>The objectives of AfricaCERT include, but are not restricted to :</p>
<p>- Assisting African countries in establishing CSIRTs;</p>
<p>- Strengthening the relationships amongst CSIRTs in Africa and with other stakeholders </p>

<p><strong>AfTLD – AROC Workshop & Meeting</strong></p>

<p>Africa Top Level Domains Organization will be conducting an Advanced Registry Operators Course (AROC) from 25 to 29 May 2015.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The Advanced Registry Operations Course is a 5 day (40 Hour) Course tailored for operators looking to build robust operations moving forward into advanced installation and configuration topics.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>This course focuses on demonstrating a structured approach to network monitoring and management including further risk management plans. The course is highlighted by hands-on exercises to installation and configuration components. Topics in this course include but are not limited to architecture, monitoring tools and scripting.</p>
<p><strong>ISOC AFRICA</strong><br /><br />ISOC Africa will be holding two half day sessions/tutorials on 1st or 2nd June 2015 as follows :<br /><strong><br />Combating Spam Technical Roundtable<br /></strong><br />As spam has grown to be a major concern for all Internet users, and policy makers are increasingly drafting and implementing public policies to combat this phenomenon. Both Governments and industry are undertaking the fight against spam through a range of initiatives working with a range of other actors, from private sector, the technical community, etc., at the national and international levels. These multi-stakeholder approaches are generally recognized as being the most effective way of addressing spam.<br /><br />The program will focus on discussing anti-spam policies and technical approaches provided by combined efforts of all relevant stakeholders:</p>
<p><br />· combining technical, legal and educational resources;<br />· engaging private and public sectors in a close collaboration process;<br />· collaborating at the international level with intergovernmental and multilateral organizations<br /><br />Additional consideration will be given to the technical aspects of the fight against spam, by engagement in a continuous dialogue with experts of the technical community (e.g. ISPs), e-merchants and organizations representing Internet users on standards development, best practices, codes of conduct and operational guidance to assist all relevant stakeholders in their endeavor to mitigate spam.<br /><br /><br /><strong>Internet Standards Development Roundtable</strong></p>
<p><br />The mission of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) is to make the Internet work better by producing relevant Internet standards that contribute to the continued use, growth and evolution of the Internet. <p><strong>AfNOG Tutorials</strong></p>
<p>AfNOG will offer 1 to 2 full-day(s) tutorials on advanced topics. <br /><br />Tutorials take place in a classroom-style environment, and may include a hands-on practical component. Tutorials are non-commercial in nature, and most are technically oriented. <p><strong>AfREN </strong></p>
<p>The Africa Research and Education Networking (AfREN) will be holding a one day meeting on 1st June 2015.</p>
<p>AfREN is the annual forum on African research and education networking. As one of the Af* organizations, the AfREN forum is part of the annual Africa Internet Summit (AIS) and was convened since 2007 by the Research and Education Networking Unit (RENU) of the Association of African Universities in collaboration with AfNOG & AFRINIC.</p>
<p>The forum is a platform for discussions on issues of interest to the research and education networking (REN) community such as collaboration, advocacy and coordination of activities in Africa. Sharing of experience and best practices as well as presentation of innovative networking technologies are also regularly addressed at AfREN.</p>
<p>The sponsorship of campus network managers to attend the annual AfNOG training workshops has also become an integral part of AfREN.</p>
<p>Since 2012, with the formation of regional RENs covering all the countries of Africa, there is a traditional session on updates from the UbuntuNet Alliance (Eastern and Southern Africa), WACREN (West and Central Africa) and ASREN (Arab countries, including North Africa).</p>
<p>Typical AfREN participants include among others, campus and research and education network practitioners, REN operators, telecom operators, regulators, policy makers and international partners.</p>

<p><strong>AfNOG - 16 Meeting</strong></p>
<p>The 16th AfNOG meeting will be held in Tunis, Tunisia on 2<sup>nd</sup> June 2015. AfNOG conferences provide a forum for the coordination and dissemination of technical information related to backbone/enterprise networking technologies and operational practices. The meetings are informal, with an emphasis on relevance to current and future African backbone engineering practices. The AfNOG 2014 conference in Djibouti drew over 500 participants, mainly consisting of network engineering staff from lnternet Service providers, Telecommunication Companies, Government, Research and Education community, Civil Society. <p><strong>AFRINIC-22 Public Policy Meeting</strong></p>
<p>The AFRINIC-22 Public Policy meeting will be held in Tunis, Tusinia for three days from 3<sup>rd</sup> – 5<sup>th</sup> June, 2015. AFRINIC Meetings are open to everyone and provide an excellent opportunity to take part in Internet policy discussions. These policies, which describe how Internet Number Resources should be managed and distributed, are developed by the community. The meeting will include tutorials, presentations, update on the various working groups and the AFRINIC Public Policy Meeting. The three day meeting will be preceded by a three -day IPv6 training and one day training in Internet Number Resource Management. <p>Atelier AfNOG sur les technologies de réseau</p>
<p>L'atelier AfNOG sur les technologies réseaux vise à offrir une formation avancée aux personnes qui sont dans le processus de mise en place et l'optimisation d'un réseau connecté à Internet avec connectivité régionale et internationale. Le public visé comprend le personnel technique de haut niveau et de niveau intermédiaire de fournisseurs commerciaux de services Internet (FSI), les réseaux universitaires, réseaux gouvernementaux, ou des réseaux d’ONG.</p>
<p>Cet atelier s'appuie sur l'expérience des ateliers AFNOG précédents tenus chaque année de 2000 à 2013 dans Quatorze pays africains différents, et aussi des ateliers INET de l'Internet Society, a lieu chaque année de 1993 à 2000 dans huit endroits dans le monde. Les instructeurs de l'atelier sont une équipe internationale avec de nombreuses années d'expérience dans l'exploitation de grands réseaux et de l'enseignement sur l'exploitation de réseau.</p>

<p><strong>À Propos d’AFRINIC</strong></p>
<p>AFRINIC a été mis en place pour servir la communauté africaine en fournissant une gestion professionnelle et efficace des ressources Internet, en soutenant l'utilisation des technologies de l'Internet et le développement, et pour promouvoir une approche participative et multi approche des parties prenantes à la gouvernance de l'Internet. AFRINIC est une organisation non gouvernementale, sans but lucratif, organisation basée sur l’adhésion, située à l'île Maurice. Formations et renforcement des capacités constituent un élément central des activités d’AFRINIC et notre objectif est de développer des compétences au sein de notre région dans la mise en œuvre d’IPv6 et des technologies connexes requis pour utiliser efficacement nos ressources et à accroître la sensibilisation au sein de la région de service sur la façon dont Internet est régie et les rôles des differentes organisations dans cet environnement. <p><strong>A propos d’AfricaCERT.</strong></p>
<p>AfricaCERT tiendra une formation certifiante pour les équipes de réponse aux incidents de sécurité et des tutoriels sur 6 jours du 25 au 30 mai 2015 en Tunisie. AfricaCERT est le forum africain des équipes d'intervention en cas d'incident informatique, et a pour objectif de proposer des solutions aux défis pour une meilleure santé dans le Af * écosystème Internet. Les objectifs de AfricaCERT comprennent, mais ne sont pas limités à:</p>
<p>- Aider les pays africains à établir CSIRT;</p>
<p>- Renforcer les relations entre les CERT en Afrique et avec d'autres parties prenantes partout dans le monde;</p>
<p>- Favoriser et soutenir des programmes d'éducation et de sensibilisation à la sécurité des TIC;</p>
<p>- encourager le partage dans la sécurité des TIC informations;</p>
<p>- Promouvoir les bonnes pratiques et l'échange d'expériences entre les membres pour élaborer un cadre global pour la cybersécurité, y compris de mieux répondre juridique et les questions de réglementation;</p>
<p>- aider les CSIRT africains à améliorer Cyber préparation et le renforcement de la résilience des Infrastructure des TIC;</p>
<p>- Promouvoir la collaboration en recherche de la technologie, du développement et de l'innovation dans le Domaine de la sécurité des TIC.</p>

<p><strong>AfTLD - AROC Atelier & Réunion</strong></p>
<p>AfTLD tiendra un atelier sur Operations de Registre Avances pour ccTLD du 25 au 29 Mai 2015.</p>
<p>L'atelier AROC représente cinq journées (40h) techniques sur les Operations de Registre Avancés. Ce cours porte sur la démonstration d'une approche structurée de la gestion et supervision de réseau, y compris les plans de gestion de risque. Le cours est mis en évidence par des exercices pratiques d’installation et de configuration d’outils. Ce cours comprends mais ne se limite pas a de l’architecture réseau, outils de supervisions, écriture de scripts.</p>
<p><strong>ISOC AFRIQUE</strong></p>
<p>Le bureau Afrique de Internet Society organise deux sessions d'une demi-journée / tutoriels le 1<sup>er</sup> ou 2 Juin 2015 suivant le programme ci dessous :</p>
<p>- Table Ronde technique sur la lutte contre le spam<br /><br />Le phénomène du Spam étant une préoccupation majeure pour tous les utilisateurs de l'Internet, et les décideurs sont a l’œuvre pour l’élaboration et la mise en œuvre de politiques publiques pour lutter contre ce phénomène. Gouvernements et Industries ont embrassés la lutter contre le spam à travers une série d'initiatives de travail multi acteurs, du secteur privé, de la communauté technique, etc., aux niveaux national et international. Ces approches multi-parties prenantes sont <br />généralement reconnu comme étant le moyen le plus efficace de traiter le phénomène du spam. <br /><br />Le programme mettra l'accent sur l'examen des politiques anti-spam et les approches techniques fournis par les efforts conjugués de tous les acteurs concernés: <br /><br />· Combinant les ressources techniques, juridiques et éducatifs; <br />· Engager secteurs privé et public dans un processus de collaboration étroite; <br />· Collaborer au niveau international avec des organisations intergouvernementales et multilatérales <br /><br />Une attention particulière sera accordée aux aspects techniques de la lutte contre le spam, par l'engagement dans un dialogue continu avec les experts de la communauté technique (par exemple FSI), les e-commerçants et les organisations représentant les utilisateurs d'Internet sur le développement des normes, les meilleures pratiques, les codes de conduite et des directives opérationnelles afin d'aider toutes les parties prenantes dans leurs efforts pour atténuer le spam. <br /><br /><br />Table ronde sur les standards de développement de l’Internet<br /><br />La mission de l'Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF de) est de rendre Internet meilleur en produisant des normes Internet contribuant à l'utilisation, à la croissance et à l'évolution continue de l'Internet. Cette table ronde permettra aux participants impliqués dans le développement de l’IETF de partager leur travail et leur expérience avec les autres participants ».</p>
<p><strong>AfNOG Tutoriels</strong></p>
<p>AfNOG offrira 1 à 2 journées complet (es) des tutoriels avancés. Les Tutoriaux auront lieu dans un environnement de type salle de classe, et peuvent inclure des composants pratiques. Les didacticiels sont non-commerciaux, et sont orientés techniques. Ils sont destinés à offrir une formation avancée sur des technologies déjà déployées ou en cours de déploiement pour les fournisseurs d'ISP. <p><strong>AfREN</strong></p>
<p>Le réseau de la recherche et de l'éducation en Afrique (AfREN) organisera une réunion d'une journée le 1er Juin 2015. <br />AfREN est un forum annuel sur la recherche et les réseaux de l'éducation en Afrique. Etant une des organisations Af *, le forum AfREN fait partie du Sommet Internet Afrique et a été convoquée depuis 2007 par l'Unité de Recherche et de mise en Réseau de l'Education (RENU) de l'Association des Universités Africaines, en collaboration avec AfNOG & AFRINIC. <br /><br />Le forum est une plate-forme pour les discussions sur les questions présentant un intérêt pour la Recherche et le Réseau de l’Education (REN) comme la collaboration, la sensibilisation et la coordination des activités en Afrique. Partage des expériences et de bonnes pratiques ainsi que la présentation des technologies de réseaux innovants sont également régulièrement abordée lors des reunions AfREN. <br /><br />Le parrainage des gestionnaires de réseau de campus pour assister aux ateliers annuels de formation AFNOG est également devenu une partie intégrante d’AfREN. <br /><br />Depuis 2012, avec la formation de REN régionaux couvrant tous les pays d'Afrique, une séance traditionnelle des mises à jour de l'UbuntuNet Alliance (Afrique orientale et australe), WACREN (Afrique occidentale et centrale) et ASREN (pays arabes, y compris l'Afrique du Nord) est organisee. <br /><br />Les participants de AfREN incluent entre autres, les professionnels de l’Education et gestionaires de reseaux de campus et de recherche, les opérateurs télécoms, les régulateurs, les décideurs politiques et les partenaires internationaux. <br /><br />Des informations supplémentaires sur AfREN 2015 seront fournies prochainement.</p>
<p><strong>AfNOG – 16 Réunion</strong></p>
<p>La 16éme réunion AfNOG aura lieu à Tunis le 2 Juin 2015. Les conférences AfNOG sont un forum pour la coordination et la diffusion des informations techniques et pratiques relatives aux technologies réseaux ; architecture, cœur de réseau, entreprise. Les réunions sont informelles, avec un accent sur la pertinence des pratiques de backbones africains actuels et futurs. La conférence AfNOG 2014 à Djibouti a drainée plus de 500 participants, constitués essentiellement de personnel d'ingénierie de réseaux de fournisseurs de services lnternet, les Compagnies de télécommunications, Gouvernement, la communauté de la Recherche et de l'éducation, la Société civile. <p><strong>Réunion AFRINIC-22</strong></p>
<p>La réunion AFRINIC-22 sera organisée à Tunis, sur trois jours à partir du 3 - 5 Juin 2015. Les réunions AFRINIC sont ouverts à tous et offrent une excellente occasion de prendre part à des discussions relative a la gestion des ressources Internet. Les règles de Gestions décrivent comment les Ressources de numéros Internet devraient être géré et distribué, sont développés par la communauté. La réunion comprendra des tutoriels, des présentations, mise à jour sur des différents groupes de travail et la réunion de publique d'AFRINIC. La réunion de trois jours sera précédée par une formation IPv6 sur trois jours et une journée de formation à la Gestion des Ressources. La réunion portera sur le protocole IPv6 et son déploiement, notamment en Afrique et la question de l'épuisement du pool IPv4 de l'espace d'adressage.</p>
