Hi All,

AfNOG is organized as three committees for year 2006 event and the lists 
have been adjusted accordingly. One existing list admin at afnog.org has been 
affected and a new list pc at afnog.org has been created.

The committees are:

1. Grand Conveners
Founding members of AfNOG who provide advise on all AfNOG matters

Nii Quaynor 
Chris Pinkham 
Randy Bush

2-Core/admin (admin at afnog.org)

Is the main management committee for AfNOG.

It approves AfNOG  activities, budget and finance. It also orchestrates fund 
raising activities and manages AfNOG relationship with other organizations.

It arranges hosts for events, locales and manages meetings.

The committee appoints mailing list, web site, dns and responsible for the 
management of AfNOGs communication infrastructure.

The committee appoints liaisons to other organizations e.g. AfriNIC.

The committee determines partners and negotiates with funding sources for 
AfNOG events.

The Core/Admin committee may propose AfNOG charter, mechanisms of selection 
of members of committees and their terms.

3-Program Committee (PC)[pc at afnog.org]

Program committee is the main advisory committee.

It sets the overall agenda and meeting content of AFNOG, reviews 
presentations 
abstracts and workshops program, selects talks and workshop teaching team.

The PC will review  the actual content of workshops, tutorials, meetings 
systems.

The PC may use the following subcommittees: track, tutorial, conference, 
working group etc. Subcommittee will report to PC for approval whilst the 
chairman 
of the subcommittee would be a member of the PC.

Subcommittee's chair may add others outside the PC in their committee if 
needed.

Further details on AfNOG organization for 2006 may be found in email sent 
earlier, soon after Maputo. The following lists are unaffected by the re-
organization: sec at afnog.org, afnog at afnog.org,afrigeek at psg.com.

The AfNOG management committees will be reviewed in Kenya and further 
strengthened for 2007.
