Now, you understand why it was a bad idea... (Ease of uninstallation
is one of the main reasons to use packages.)

Well, you'll have to do something like 'locate majordomo' and then
rm. Plus the aliases in /etc/aliases, the cron jobs and everything
that a packaging system does automatically.
