Hello folks,

Am quite sure someone on this forum could help me with this:

Am quite new to mobile video and streaming and hope someone on this forum will help me out.

Am trying to stream video from my PC to my phone [ Nokia] with VLC player over our Internet connection, but I have
Not been successful as yet.
I need to use VLC media player which I have set up as my streaming server and I have a TV capture card, so am able to stream Live TV to the
Computers in my network and outside the network quite well, but I need to be able to catch this stream on my mobile phone.

Now, the first problem I think that might be a big obstacle should be the right format and encapsulation.
I have tried different combinations VLC provides for instance Encapsulation :MPEG TS, Video Codec: MP4V bitrate as low as 32kb/s and audio codec: MP3 bitrate also as low as 32kb/s [PS: I have played around with different Encapsulation methods and transcoding options but I still can't get it to work.

Another problem is that Nokia's realplayer default protocol is rtsp, and I cannot change it to accept my stream via http which VLC supports quite well and it seems VLC does produce only rtp streams and not rtsp.

Has anyone on this forum been able to do this successfully? Ie stream from a VLC streaming box to their mobile phones?

I want to be able to stream live TV to my nokia and would appreciate any pointers.

Thank you so much.

Best regards,

Evelyn
