From (my own) previous experience with this platform:
- it doesn't scale very well beyond a certain amount of
bandwidth processed.
- it can only handle up to 1Gbps (maybe less); what do you
do after that?
- it doesn't support policing of IPv6 traffic.
- it doesn't know what to do with MPLS traffic (if you have
such an environment).
- support is terrible.
- redundant topologies are difficult to implement while
policing customer traffic.
Platform-independent issues include the requirement to have
this system at all edge points, otherwise it assumes the
bulk of your traffic will forever be international, i.e.,
how do you police local/regional/on-net traffic?
Cheers,
Mark.
