Do you mean _small_ RASs, say 4 E1's? If so, have a look at the Lucent
MAX3000/MAX6000 (2 or 4 E1s respectively), or see if 3com still make the
Hiperarc chassis which takes between 1 and 14 E1 cards.

Most RASes these days are large numbers of ports (32 E1s or more in a single
box), which correspond to the AS5800 in the Cisco world. The biggest players
are Lucent (TNT/APX) and Nortel (CVX).

The RASes on www.patton.com look like Patton's own brand. I've never heard
of them, and I would steer clear.
