Re: Internet routing in South Africa

Hi

Both Internet Solutions and Saix had stuff in 25 Broadway. Internet
Solutions was affected worse, as their backhaul for their satelite serivce
ran in what used to be the basement of the WTO. The 20% figure I heard
wasn't relative to SA, I think it was 20% of all fibre going into NY, but
that might just be speculation. I know for a fact that _alot_ of fibre ran
through there, especially trans-atlantic.

25 Broadway lost power just like most of the other buildings. Because the
area was cordened off, nobody could get in to replace fuel for generators,
but that was just for a day or 2, and was resolved shortly afterwards.

I'm not sure if anyone in SA is still affected by this. Randy, you read
the other lists, do you remember what the percentage of fibre running
through the previous WTO was?
