scan yr  network  using a  lan scanner
(http://www.gfisoftware.com/languard/lanscan.htm)  and  may be  what  u
ought to do  is  have  them in yr  dns   for  easy  remember  like  #ping
gulu   will return  the ip of the machine  u named  gulu !!
