MRTG is a collection and rendering platform for RRD databases, where the actual data is kept. These are files on your system's disk store. I have no idea if MRTG makes provision for you being able to render graphs with custom datapoints, so check the documentation for it. If you need to do this manually, see below.
On the rrdtool documentation you can find examples[0] about how to graph stuff. The "DEF" entries point to the databases, so you wull thus just need to point at each of these that you need to render from, and then choose what sort of rendering you wish to do. And yes, it's quite a pain to do manually, which is why software like MRTG and Cacti exists.
