[afnog] Untar large files

Dear SM

The backup was compressed on the same system. The backup is first
incremental and after a week it gets compressed on a different partition.
Can it be tested for corruption?

Did you use the compression flag when you created the backup file?  If you
have transferred the archive file to another system, it might be too late to
verify whether the backup file was not corrupted.
