A VPLS instance is just like a regular Layer 2 broadcast 
domain.

The same way you can cause loops in a switched network is 
the exact same way you can do the same in a VPLS instance, 
e.g., have a multi-homed customer who decides to connect 
using switches, and interconnects the switches without any 
kind of filtering.
