FIRST Symposium & AfricaCERT Day, Accra - GHANA 28 Sept to 1st October 2015

We are pleased to invite you to FIRST Training / Symposium & AfricaCERT Day
scheduled to be held in Accra, Ghana from 28th Sept to 1st October 2015. The
Event is Hosted by Ministry of Communications, Ghana.

FIRST and AfricaCERT are jointly organizing a regional symposium in Accra, Ghana
from 28th to 30th September, 2015 at Alisa Hotel followed by AfricaCERT Day on
1st October 2015.

The symposium, which is the first-ever to be organized by FIRST in the Africa
Region, and pre-events will be hosted by the Ministry of Communications at the
Alisa Hotel, Accra – Ghana.

The theme of the Symposium is “Joining Forces to Promote Cybersecurity in
Africa”. The program will comprise of a 2 – day Pre-Symposium training workshop
followed the FIRST Symposium then an AfricaCERT Day. The following Tracks will
be run during the pre-Symposium Training Workshop:

a)     28th - 29th Sept 2015: Training

·        Track1: Web Defacement Incident handling Process

·        Track2: CERT Creation and Management

·        Track3: Digital Forensic in the Incident Handling Process

Participants in the training sessions are required to pay a fee of US$100.
Attendance at the symposium and AfricaCERT is however free.

b)    30th Sept 2015: FIRST Symposium (Free)

c)     1st October 2015: AfricaCERT Day.

The FIRST Symposium to be held on September 30, 2015 and will bring on board
high-profile speakers in the Internet and its security world to address issues
relating to security in cyberspace with focus on Africa.

The participation in the conference is open to all. AfricaCERT Day to be held on
October 1, 2015, will bring together the various CSIRTs in Africa to discuss
Best Practices, the way forward and formalize their relationship with
AfricaCERT.
