Sorry , the date on the previous subject was incorrect. Fixed.

Greetings everyone and a Happy New Year,

The ISOC Africa Regional Bureau is running an initiative titled "The IETF Africa initiative" whose main objectives are to increase the awareness of Open Internet Standards on the continent and also to increase the participation of African engineers at the IETF<http://ietf.org/>.
This survey is open to anyone in Africa who has an interest in Open Internet Standards and the IETF<http://ietf.org/>.
Kindly provide your input that will be used to determine the focus areas and Working Groups of the IETF<http://ietf.org/> that are most interesting to people in the African region. This input will be used to guide which IETF Areas and Working Groups that the initiative should focus on in order to reach the objectives mentioned above.
In order to make an informed decision, please read about the IETF Areas<https://www.ietf.org/iesg/area.html> and read about the specific working groups<https://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/> under those areas by clicking on the names of the working groups on the page<https://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/>.
The current IETF General Area (gen) which currently consists of the "mtgvenue"<https://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/mtgvenue/documents/> Working Group is deliberately left out. Your name and email address will not be published.
The survey will be closed on the 12th of January 2017.
