Hi Randy,

When you deploy IPv6-only access networks to customers, you need to keep some IPv4-only resources, which don’t impact your network (as emails servers), in order to test functionalities from transition protocols.

In a recent IETF, I discovered that Outlook for Mac fails with IPv4-only emails servers when using NAT64, so that's why I keep them, to make sure that I can do testing.

Of course, I can take more complex alternatives, even having a non-production IPv4-only email server, but is not worth the effort, because having the production email servers as IPv4-only doesn’t hurt anyone.

Regards,
Jordi
