Greetings Colleagues,

Following the 4th previous cyberdrill, AfricaCERT, together with the 
SADC Secretariat, is organizing the 5th AfricaCERT CyberDrill: "REDUCE, 
INCREASE, DECREASE." for CERTs/CSIRTs/CIRTs, IXPs & RENs security teams 
in Africa, and AfricaCERT partners.

The SADC Cyber Drill, AfricaCERT Meeting and the FIFTH Africa Cyberdrill 
2025 will be held in a hybrid format from 4 to 7 November 2025, both 
virtually via Zoom and in person in Maseru, Kingdom of Lesotho. The 
event will bring together cybersecurity experts, policymakers, 
regulators, law enforcement authorities, and private sector partners 
from across the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the 
wider AfricaCERT community.

There will be no participation costs.
Details of the event are as follows:

Theme: "REDUCE, INCREASE, DECREASE."

This year's event features the following:

Pre-Event on the 3rd November 2025 : M3AAWG & AFAAWG Tutorials.
o Introduction to M3AAWG.
o M3AAWG and AfricaCERT Collaboration Framework: Africa Anti-Abuse 
Working Group (AfAAWG);
o Tutorial 1: Routing Security.
o Tutorial 2: DDOS Mitigation.


*** On-site Trainings in Lesotho : 4 - 5th November 2025 on Incident 
Response and ICS/OT
09 AM - 5 PM Lesotho time.

*** Hybrid 5th Cyber drill: 6 - 7th November 2025
