Thanks for sharing some links.  One of them is about "fibre ISPs" at 
another location.  It's useful information.  I haven't seen similar 
complaints over here.

I don't disable a protocol system-wide.  I find it useful to 
investigate to find out where the problem occurred.  Some of the 
software I use is free for personal use.  I gather that asking for a 
refund would not be a good idea.

It occurred 10 years ago.  A Sony PlayStation 5 console will not work 
with an IPv6-only router according to the manufacturer [1].  People 
started discussing IPv6 in the region a few years before the date of 
the PS4 comment.  Nowadays, IPv6 is conflated with sovereignty [2].

Here's what the company is supposed to be doing:

changing the DNS setting on the optical network terminal (ONT).  The 
service is most likely using the IP address from which the user 
authenticated to control access.  That doesn't work for the service 
when it sees several users accessing its service from the same IP 
address.  The service is not that different from a service provided 
at ISP level: https://www.elandsys.com/r/38449  The assumption which 
the company made no longer holds.  The company could:

   (a) Address the assumption failure by inventing a technological
       solution to allow it to control access to its service.

   (b) Convince its customers to move to IPv6.

   (c) Send money to an advocacy group so that the group promotes

RFC 8484 could be a documentation for a technological solution to the 
assumption failure (Item (a)).

There were some other assumptions, e.g. RFC 5211 stated that ISPs may 
continue to offer IPv4-based access after the everyone supports 
IPv6.  There were 13 transition mechanisms since then:

standards for something which looks simple at a glance.

tried using another software/product after reading your email.  I was 
able to see a forecast for the World Cup winner.
