Hi folks,

Here are my thoughts about ai models. Recently, cyberstorm.mu got access to
a powerful ai cybersecurity model.

Here are the clear benefits: it reduces time to find security
vulnerabilities. One might argue that non ai scanners can find the same
vulnerabilities and it's a fair point.

E.g of one here:
https://github.com/libressl/openbsd/pull/154

However, the generated ai patches are somtimes wrong in subtle ways. There
is work to be done there. You still need humans to write proper code.
Someone from africa raised this issue on linkedin already.

African countries might be left out of the ai cybersecurity models with the
rise of anthropic mythos if there are export restrictions.

In mauritius, cyberstorm.mu team is petitioning the government to increase
cybersecurity spending as a proactive measure:

How much of african digital infrastructure can be attacked with ai
offensive weapons is a matter of debate as we have a lot of end of life
equipment.

It might be time to invest in securing our digital infrastructure?

I think that it's time for african countries to build our own cybersecurity
ai to strengthen our infrastructure ?

Kind regards,
Logan
