We are saddened by the sudden demise of Dr. Barry.  The Africa Tech community has lost another gallant soldier.. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Our deepest condolences to his family & WACREN during this difficult time.

He was an elegant ambassador for the best kind of academic collaboration. A careful listener, a broad and thoughtful advocate for the benefits of shared infrastructure, and a kind host welcoming new entrants and new ideas. Always moving forward.

He will be missed. My sympathies to his family and his many friends.
