Hello,

As some of you may already be aware, our Local Host for AIS 2017 committed
severally to raise funding locally to cover local costs such as transport,
conference package (two tea breaks & lunch during the entire AIS Workshop &
Conference period), etc etc.

Unfortunately we were told 2 weeks to the event that they can no longer
cover all that they committed to and we were left holding the can.  We did
not budget for these open items and to make matters worse we offered more
sponsorship to participants owing to the assurance that most of the local
costs would be covered.

Simply put, we do not have enough funds hence have to cut down on some
costs to help us pay part of the conference package fees to the hotel as
ffs :

a) Unfortunately therefore we will not have Instructors Dinner this year.

c)  We will also have to reduce the honorarium and this will be available
tomorrow.

This is the first time that we are facing this embarrassing situation and I
appeal to you to bear with us as we resolve this unforeseen challenge that
the Local Host created for us. We have learnt some very hard lessons and
will put in necessary
measures going forward.

Personally, this has been very  stressful and my worst Event ever.
