Right, especially where servers have only one port on them and 
cannot afford to run 802.1Q trunks on the single Ethernet 
link (or if so, adds complexity).

Ditto for customers with a single Metro-E or co-lo link to 
your switch.

I prefer this option, although it needs to be tested with gear 
sitting in the forwarding path that may not support v6, e.g., 
(evil) bandwidth managers.

Yes.

In cases where measuring v6 bandwidth does not justify a 
second link, e.g., non-Ethernet WAN links, one would require 
more creative ways to glean the amount of v6 bandwidth 
traversing said link.
