Re: Cisco access list - multihomed question




Install BGP - I already have BGP running but not with this particular upstream provider - yet
---> running BGP would not necessarily immediately provide a solution. I want to route traffic for one network *only* down one link, while using the other link for all other traffic.

The Policy Based Routing (PBR) seems to be the best approach and is actually working very well right now.

We have an internet exchange and no, peering will not sort out the problem, because I don't want to manipulate the routes based on destination address, I want to manipulate the routes based on internal source address i.e. traffic originating within my network from subnet a.b.c.d to use link#1 while all other traffic defaults to link#2

I now have it working, refer to my last message, I have posted snippets of the config...
