Try traceroute:

   traceroute -n 192.168.159.x  [if it's a Unix host]
   tracert -d 192.168.159.x     [if it's Windows]

(The -n/-d flag turns off DNS resolution which usually just confuses things)

If you don't even see a first hop, it probably means the host does not have
a defaultroute.
