I think Seun is being a bit extreme. Seems like you possibly want a good intro and foundation in Linux. As stated, you can install one or more of the various versions – Linux Mint or Ubuntu, for example; or there are free courses such as below:

Introduction to Linux (course LFS101x)
Introduction to Linux
Develop a good working knowledge of Linux using both the graphical interface and command line, covering the major Linux distribution families.

When you sign up, choose “Audit” as your method of taking the class, so you are not paying anything and you don’t have to worry about credit.
This one starts 1 August. Not sure how it works as far as “later reviewing a session you miss?” I’m guessing you can replay any session.
