I agree with Mark Elkins' well written mail. It's some good pieces of
advice.
Also, depending on your mail system, you could send the mails through
spamassassin and reject it while the user is trying to send it, if it
looks too spammy, reject it so the user notices while (s)he is trying
to get the mail out of his inbox.
You can set the spamassassin threshold where is makes sense for your
customer base.
There are other tools available too. It might be good to have others
chip in with ideas about what they use, as well as their experiences
about effectiveness.
I have done my (private) spamassassin integration in Postfix and it's
relatively simple if you read the documentation.
