Opps - sorry - was not aware of this. Is this exclusion a "feature" of 
Zoom or someone else blocking certain port numbers?
I assume a VPN would work? Zoom certainly *has* worked for me for ICANN.

Last night I attended the DNSSEC workshop and having both the slide show 
and the person both visible and speaking (all showing very clearly) made 
for a good workshop. I have quite slow connectivity where I live, the 
ADSL gives me 1Mbps (I'm far from the local telephone exchange). This 
means that traditional AfriNIC streaming in the past has always been 
blurred and without a convenient method of talking back to people.

How well has remote participation worked before in these countries? What 
then are the options, perhaps more than one method?

I have absolutely no desire to have community from Sudan or anywhere 
else excluded from any AfNOG/AFRINIC meeting.

I (gut feel) believe that the pandemic will reach its peak in about two 
months time - so not sure it will be over...
