This is a final reminder to join our webinar tomorrow July 6 at 13:00 UTC, where we will launch Internet Society’s new report, Moving towards an Interconnected Africa: The 80/20 Initiative.

In 2010, the Africa Internet technical community embraced a bold/ambitious vision to have 80% of all Internet traffic locally accessible with only 20% being sourced internationally by 2020.

The report explores how this community changed the landscape as they tried to achieve this vision for the continent. It highlights important learnings and discusses how the continent can take advantage of IXP growth to localize 80% of its Internet traffic, making the Internet affordable, faster, better performing, and more resilient.

Ceci est un dernier rappel pour rejoindre notre webinaire demain 6 juillet à 13h00 UTC, où nous lancerons le nouveau rapport de l'Internet Society, Vers une Afrique interconnectée : L'Initiative 80/20 .

En 2010, la communauté technique de l'Internet en Afrique a adopté une vision audacieuse et ambitieuse selon laquelle 80 % de l'ensemble du trafic Internet serait accessible localement, 20 % seulement provenant de sources internationales d'ici 2020.
