After looking at top and determining that it was ntop taking up the most
CPU usage I stopped it and these are now the stats from top
  2:11pm  up 14 days, 23:50,  1 user,  load average: 0.00, 0.12, 0.50
41 processes: 40 sleeping, 1 running, 0 zombie, 0 stopped
CPU states:  0.0% user,  0.3% system,  0.0% nice, 99.7% idle
Mem:  127836K av, 121796K used,   6040K free,  67940K shrd,  38280K buff
Swap: 136512K av,    116K used, 136396K free                 56284K cached

The load average has reduced however the DNS has still hang
