RE: Eth0 does not come up after kernel recompiling

Perhaps the module was not compiled into your new kernel.

If you still have a copy of your .config file, please check it to verify
whether your card was among the modules listed to be compiled as either
static or loadable.

Subject: Eth0 does not come up after kernel recompiling

Hello
I have a problem. I have RedHat 7.2. I re-compiled my kernel as per the
instructions I
got from afnog. I updated my lilo.conf file to reflect the new kernel. The
machine booted
but eth0 did not come up. I checked /proc/modules and my 3Com card module
wasnt
there. I tried to use insmod to install it but it was in vain. It gives me
the fillowing error:

3c59x.o: unresolved symbol netdump_mode

What should I do?

Regards

David
