[afnog] Introducing Southern Africa Network Operators Group - SAFNOG

Hi Badru

If you read so far the goals of safnog,  its a "for meetings event". Its
not a for bootcamp or workshop or training driven initiative.

Example

1.What challenges  are facing infra development in say region x from
vendors standpoint, to lack of infrastructure, to government policies, to
peering, to new innovations  you name it etc.

You seem to be suggesting that the formation of other nogs like tznog,
ngnog which are for instance workshop driven etc, was a break up from
AfNOG,  I hope not.

As you may have noticed safnog meetings will be held at least twice a year
and before AfNOG hence creating opportunities for issues discussed at
regional level being presented at an African level through AIS meetings.

Where is the problem with that?  Dont you realise this creates
opportunities for papers with content specific to the african context can
then be  presented during AIS annual meetings.

Unless if you are looking at the entire initiative from a different angle.
