Absolutely!!!
Caveat is that the outreach should not be done without consultations, if
only to alley the fears of friends. The Southern Region should not be
seen as pulling out of the mainstream that we are all nurturing. As much
as Engineers think packets move at L1 only, there are other layers up to
9 in the functional OSI model. The takeaway is that communication should
happen at all these layers. I have worked with the brains behind SAFNOG
to know they are all knowledgeable and willing to help others.
Lets move to other topics, before we lose the up and coming Engineers,
the silent majority on this list, and the real future of Networking in
Africa.
It was just an Introduction ... Can this thread therefore die at this point.
